Everyday People are an exciting and energetic Dublin based six piece funk/soul/jazz ensemble,
each of the six are experienced and accomplished musicians in their own right. Created and set up by multi instrumentalist Maria Fitzgerald who plays drums in the band, joined by Irish bass player Brian Shanley, Irish keyboard player Enda Collins, Polish guitarist Michael Okulicz, English vocalist Tam and Irish saxophonist / flautist Simon Wall.

Together they create a fusion of both new and old school funk with elements of jazz and soul. They have been compared to bands such as Breakestra and The Meters, combined with a talent for exciting and energetic improvisation. Playing a vibrant and captivating mix of funk and soul classics from Stevie wonder to James brown, Aretha Franklin to Nina Simone, Marlena Shaw and Bill Withers.

The group performed at the internationally renowned Cork Jazz Festival in 2008 and the Dublin City Soul Festival earlier in 2009.
